What This Site Collects, Which Is Almost Nothing
This is a set of static pages. There is no account system, no form, no comment section, no newsletter and no advertising. The short version is that the site itself stores nothing about you, and the longer version is below because a few third parties are still involved.
First Block does not ask for information and does not have anywhere to put it. There is no login, no form field anywhere on the site, no shopping basket, no comment thread and no tracking pixel. The only way to communicate with the desk is to send an email, which means you decide what the desk knows about you.
What the desk itself holds
Nothing collected through the site, because nothing is collected. If you send an email, the desk holds that email in an ordinary mailbox for as long as it is useful, which for a correction usually means until the page has been amended. Correspondence is not published, not shared and not added to any list, since no list exists.
What the web host records
Like any web server, the host that serves these pages writes standard request logs. A log entry typically contains the address that made the request, the page requested, the time, the referring page if the browser sent one, and the user agent string. These are ordinary server operations records used to keep the site running and to see whether something is broken.
The desk does not build profiles from them, does not attempt to identify individual readers and does not combine them with anything else. There is no analytics package on this site, so there is no second copy of that data anywhere.
Cookies
The site sets none. No preference cookie, no session cookie, no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. If your browser shows a cookie for this domain, it did not come from these pages.
Third parties that serve part of each page
Three external requests happen when a page loads, and each of them means the provider concerned sees that a request was made from your address.
- A public content delivery network serves the Bootstrap stylesheet, its icon font and its JavaScript bundle. These are widely used public files and are requested by your browser directly.
- A font provider serves the three typefaces used across the site. The request happens when the stylesheet loads.
- Nothing else. There is no advertising network, no social widget, no embedded video, no chat widget and no tag manager on any page.
If you would rather not make those requests, a content blocker will stop them and the site will still be entirely readable. The layout is built so that pages remain usable without the external stylesheet, since the site's own styles carry the structure.
Links to other sites
Pages here link to protocol documentation, to public block explorers and, where a paragraph is about a commercial tool, to that tool's own site. Following any of those links takes you somewhere with its own policies, which the desk has no control over and does not attempt to summarise. Nothing about you is transmitted along with a link beyond what your browser normally sends.
Children
This is technical reference material about trading automation and it is not intended for children. Nothing here is directed at them and no information is knowingly collected from anyone.
Changes to this page
If the site ever adds something that collects data, this page changes first and the change is visible in the page's modification date. There is no plan to add an analytics package, a newsletter or an advertising slot, and if that ever changes it will be described here in plain terms rather than in a paragraph designed not to be read.
Questions
Anything about this page can go to the same address as everything else, which is on the corrections page. A request to delete correspondence will be honoured, and since the site holds nothing else, that is the entirety of what there is to delete.
